Persian carpet Kashan

The city of Kashan is located 250 km south of Tehran in a large oasis bordering the Kavir Desert in central Iran. This area has been inhabited since ancient times, holding significance during the Sasanian dynasty and later after the advent of Islamic culture. Kashan carpets are crafted from the finest kork wool (from the neck of lambs), utilizing the asymmetrical knotting technique (Persian knot), which renders the carpets exceptionally fine and highly durable.
