Rug Restoration and Repair
Begin your rug's restoration journey with a precise consultation and inspection. Our process is meticulously designed to account for the uniqueness of each rug – from intricate patterns, manufacturing techniques (knotting or weaving), and fiber types (wool, silk, cotton...), to dyes....
A thorough inspection of the rug allows us to accurately assess the extent of damage, identify tears, wear, damage to fringes, edges, and any traces of moths, while also considering the rug's history and provenance – from cleaning methods to environmental influences.
We will prepare a professional, individualized restoration plan for your rug. In our work, we combine traditional craftsmanship with the most modern techniques for exceptional results. Your rug deserves care that will preserve its beauty and utility for years to come.
We have many years of experience and skilled artisans who have preserved over a thousand rugs, including extremely valuable collector's and museum pieces. Common rug damages include: worn fringes, holes and tears, moth damage, missing or damaged knots, edge wear or damage, destroyed foundation.... We guarantee the highest quality of service and the use of only the finest hand-spun Iranian wool and silk, as well as all other necessary materials.
In cooperation with the Restoration Center of Slovenia, we also perform ANOXI sterilization of rugs (for moths or moth larvae in the rug), which is the only reliable method for complete moth eradication in rugs.
