Persian carpet Kashan

The city of Kashan is located 250 km south of Tehran in a large oasis bordering the Kavir Desert in central Iran. This area was inhabited in ancient times, holding significance during the Sasanian dynasty and later with the advent of Islamic culture. Kashan carpets are crafted from the finest kork wool (from lamb’s necks), utilizing the asymmetrical knotting technique (Persian knot), which renders the carpets exceptionally fine and highly durable.
